4 best budget hotels in Crieff

Budget hotels in Crieff are best understood as good-value places to stay rather than the lowest possible room rate. In practice, that usually means modestly rated hotels or guest houses with strong guest feedback, straightforward facilities and a location that makes it easy to enjoy the town without paying for extras you do not need. For many travellers, that balance matters more than luxury touches: clean rooms, a comfortable bed, reliable service and a sensible base for a short break, work trip or stopover.

Crieff suits visitors who want a relaxed Perthshire stay with access to the town’s shops, cafés and wider countryside. It is a practical choice for couples, solo travellers, families and anyone planning a simple, well-priced visit. The best budget options here are not necessarily the cheapest on paper; they are the ones that consistently deliver value. That is why highly rated stays such as Comely Bank Guest House, Crieff Hotel, The Royal Hotel and Murraypark Hotels can all sit comfortably in a budget-friendly shortlist, alongside other well-reviewed options like Achray House Hotel & Lodges, Comrie Croft, Charming Cardoon Cottage in Beautiful Village and Ross Lodge.

A genuine budget hotel in Crieff should feel affordable, dependable and well matched to the purpose of the trip. You are looking for a sensible base with enough comfort to make the stay easy, not an expensive full-service experience. That is the standard this list focuses on.
