8 best budget hotels in Perth

Budget hotels in Perth are best understood as good-value places to stay rather than simply the cheapest rooms on offer. In this list, that means properties that keep costs sensible while still delivering a comfortable bed, a practical location, and the basics travellers need for a short break, business trip, or overnight stop. The strongest budget options often come with high guest ratings, which suggests that price alone is not the only measure of value.

Perth suits this style of stay well. It is a laid-back city with a compact feel in many parts, so budget accommodation can work for visitors who want to spend more on being out and about than on the room itself. That includes solo travellers, couples, families on a tighter budget, and anyone needing a straightforward base with reliable standards. Places such as Durham Lodge, Robinson Retreat, Central City Exclusive Apartments and Aarn House B&B Airport Accommodation show the range available, from guesthouses and apartments to simple airport-friendly stays.

A genuine budget hotel in Perth should be clean, well run, and sensibly priced for the level of comfort offered. It does not need to be fancy, but it should feel dependable, with enough convenience to make the stay easy. In this guide, the focus is on properties that balance affordability with strong guest feedback, so you can book with confidence and avoid paying for extras you do not need.
