5 best budget hotels in St Augustine

Budget hotels in St Augustine are best understood as places that keep the nightly cost down without stripping away the basics that matter on a short break. In practice, that means a clean room, a reliable bed, straightforward service and a location that makes it easy to get around, whether you are visiting for a coastal escape, a simple overnight stop or a longer stay on a tighter budget. In this part of Florida, value does not always mean bare-bones: some 2-star and 3-star options still offer the sort of practical comforts that help a trip run smoothly, from breakfast to easy parking and access to main routes.

This list includes well-rated choices such as Holiday Inn Express St Augustine - Vilano Beach, Southern Oaks Inn and Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Saint Augustine North, alongside more economical stays like Americas Best Value Inn St. Augustine Beach, The Smart Stay Inn and Days Inn by Wyndham St. Augustine I-95/Outlet Mall. That spread is useful because “budget” can mean different things to different travellers. For some, it is the lowest possible rate; for others, it is the best balance of price, comfort and convenience.

These hotels suit couples, families, road-trippers and anyone who prefers to spend more on the trip itself than on the room. St Augustine’s compact, historic feel and easy-going beach setting make it a place where a sensible, well-located budget hotel can be all you need.
