1 best hotels for groups in Torquay

Hotels for groups in Torquay need to do more than simply offer multiple rooms. The best options give friends, families, club members or colleagues enough space to stay together comfortably, with a practical layout, reliable service and a location that makes shared plans easier to manage. In a resort town like Torquay, that usually means a base that works for both relaxed time together and straightforward access to the coast, with accommodation that suits different budgets and trip styles.

For group travel, consistency matters. A good group hotel should make check-in smooth, keep everyone close without feeling cramped, and offer a standard that suits the whole party rather than just one person’s preferences. That can mean a larger hotel with a strong guest rating, or a smaller guest house or cottage-style stay where the group can enjoy a more personal atmosphere. In Torquay, the range is broad enough to cover both. Options such as Abingdon House, Babbacombe Bay Hotel and Haldon Priors Hotel bring higher-end comfort, while places like Howden Court Hotel, Trouville Hotel and Cottage 1 Newcourt offer more modest stays with solid appeal for practical group breaks.

This kind of list is especially useful for wedding parties, reunion groups, walking clubs and multi-generational families, where convenience and comfort matter as much as style. The strongest choices combine good reviews, enough flexibility for different group sizes and a setting that supports a shared stay in one of Devon’s best-known seaside resorts.
