5 best hotels with a kitchen in Covington

Hotels with a kitchen in Covington are ideal for travellers who want the comfort of eating in alongside easy access to local highlights. In Covington, you can base yourself near *historic downtown Covington* in Louisiana, where Columbia Street and the wider walkable historic district are known for galleries, specialty shops and dining. For outdoorsy days, staying around the *Tammany Trace trailhead* adds practical value—there’s a visitor centre and facilities that make it straightforward to return, rinse off, and cook rather than rely solely on takeaways.

A genuinely “kitchen” stay goes beyond a microwave: look for suites or rooms with proper cookware (or at least a full kitchenette), fridge space for groceries, and enough table/worktop area to make breakfasts and simple evening meals comfortably. These hotels suit families balancing naps and early mornings, longer-stay business visitors who prefer routine, and anyone managing dietary needs or saving money on meals.

For choosing where to stay, focus on walkable downtown areas if you want restaurants close by (then use the kitchen for convenience), or pick a slightly more residential location near major routes if your plans include cycling, day trips, and flexible schedules. From dependable 3★ options such as Hampton Inn Covington (3★) and Holiday Inn Covington (3★) to higher-end comfort like The Hotel Covington (4★), this inventory supports kitchen-led stays in Covington.
