8 best mountain hotels in Lecco

Mountain hotels in Lecco are best understood as stays that give you easy access to the hills and alpine scenery around the city, while still keeping you close enough to the lake and centre for practical day-to-day exploring. In this list, that can mean a hotel with a more elevated setting, a quieter base on the edge of town, or a property that suits walkers, cyclists and travellers planning time in the mountains rather than a purely urban break. Lecco itself has a compact, easy-going feel, so the right mountain stay balances fresh air and views with straightforward access to transport, dining and the waterfront.

These hotels suit visitors who want to make the most of the outdoors without giving up comfort. Hotel Resort & Spa Miramonti and Affittacamere Polvara Trentuno bring a stronger hotel feel, while HLL Hotel Lungolago Lecco, Hotel Alberi and Foresteria Solosonno offer more central, practical bases. B&B Lake Como Cottage, B&B Partenza Funivia and Villa Viola fit travellers looking for a smaller-scale stay, often with a more local and relaxed atmosphere. The best choice depends on whether you want a simple overnight stop before heading into the hills, or a longer stay with a little more comfort after a day on the trails.

Overall, “Mountain hotels” in Lecco usually means good access to the outdoors, a quieter setting, and a stay that works well for active breaks, scenic escapes and short visits built around the surrounding landscape.
