8 best mountain hotels in Ramsau

Mountain hotels in Ramsau are best understood as places that suit the landscape rather than compete with it: comfortable, practical stays with easy access to the mountains, a quieter setting, and a clear sense of alpine character. In Ramsau, that usually means smaller, well-rated hotels and guesthouses where the surroundings matter as much as the room itself. The strongest options tend to appeal to walkers, outdoor-focused couples, families, and anyone looking for a calmer base with mountain scenery close at hand.

This list brings together a mix of styles and standards, from simple one-star stays to a four-star hotel, but all fit the mountain-hotel brief in different ways. Haus Almfrieden offers a higher-category choice with an excellent guest score, while Wörndlhof - Das Refugium and Gästehaus Heißenlehen combine three-star comfort with standout reviews. For a more modest stay, Auf'm Feggenlehen and Gasthaus-Pension Seeklause show that mountain hotels do not need to be large or formal to feel right for Ramsau. Landhaus am Waldrand, with its very high guest rating, is another strong example of a stay that matches the setting well.

Ramsau itself suits this kind of trip because it is associated with a mountain setting and a quieter pace, making it a good choice for visitors who want scenery, fresh air, and straightforward hospitality rather than a busy resort atmosphere.
