In a city like Durham, where business trips, university visits and leisure breaks often overlap, that balance matters.

This list brings together hotels that suit different kinds of stays, from polished four-star addresses such as Washington Duke Inn and Golf Club and JB Duke Hotel to well-rated three-star options including Aloft Durham Downtown, Hyatt Place Durham Southpoint and Hampton Inn & Suites Durham North I-85.
