5 best hotels near theme parks in Tempe

Hotels near theme parks in Tempe are ideal for visitors who want short, stress-free trips between big-name attractions and comfortable basecamp accommodation. In Tempe, that usually means staying near Arizona Mills, where family favourites like SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium and the LEGOLAND Discovery Center (both at Arizona Mills) keep the itinerary fun, weather-friendly, and easy to repeat across a weekend.

For a change of pace between theme-park moments, Tempe also offers classic local stops such as Tempe Town Lake and its lively waterfront parks and marina area. This combination suits families, couples, and small groups who prefer to avoid long drives—especially if you’re juggling nap times, tickets, and evening plans—while still being able to fit in sightseeing and casual dining.

When choosing where to stay, focus on south Tempe around Arizona Mills if your priority is theme-park access and plenty of dining options nearby. That’s where options like TownePlace Suites Tempe at Arizona Mills Mall and SpringHill Suites Tempe at Arizona Mills Mall make sense for families needing extra space or suites-style stays, while Holiday Inn Express Tempe Hotel and Suites is a strong pick for a simple, dependable mid-range base.

For travellers watching their budget, Infinity Inn & Suites offers a more value-focused approach, while Sonesta ES Suites Tempe is well suited to longer visits where comfort and room to settle in matter.
