8 best hotels with amazing views in Saumur

Hotels with amazing views in Saumur are about more than a pleasant outlook from the window. In a place known for its riverside setting, historic atmosphere and easy-going pace, the best stays combine a strong location with rooms or terraces that make the most of the scenery. A genuine view-led hotel should feel open to its surroundings, whether that means looking over the river, the town or the wider landscape, and it should suit travellers who value calm, light and a sense of place as much as comfort.

This list brings together properties that score well with guests and offer different styles of stay, from the 4-star Hôtel Saint Pierre and Mercure Bords De Loire Saumur to smaller, more intimate options such as Domaine de l'Oie Rouge, Le Patio Saumur & Spa and La Maison de Saumur. There are also practical mid-range choices like Aux Marquises and Les Terrasses De Saumur Hotel & Spa, plus Different Holidays for those seeking a more flexible stay. The common thread is that each can work for visitors who want Saumur to be part of the experience, not just the backdrop.

These hotels suit couples, solo travellers and anyone planning a short break where the setting matters. They are also a good fit for guests who want a restful base with strong ratings and a clear sense of location, rather than a generic city hotel. In Saumur, a room with a view can make the stay feel more memorable, especially when paired with good service and easy access to the town’s relaxed rhythm.
