Banff hotels like a local.
Banff gives you a walkable mountain-town base for gondolas, hot springs, glacial lakes, canyon trails and Rockies views without needing to drive every day.

About Banff
Banff is the main town inside Banff National Park, Canada’s first national park and part of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site. You get a compact alpine town with restaurants, bars, shops and transit, plus quick access to turquoise lakes, wildlife areas, ski terrain, hot springs and mountain trails. Most visitors to Banff town, Lake Louise and the wider park need a Parks Canada entry pass, though official guidance notes free national-park admission from June 19 to September 7, 2026 under the Canada Strong Pass initiative.
