Huaibei hotels like a local.
Huaibei is a northern Anhui city where you come for Grand Canal history, coal-to-lakes renewal, slow tea houses and manageable hotel prices.

About Huaibei
Huaibei sits where Anhui meets Jiangsu, Henan and Shandong. It was long known as a coal-and-power base, but the visitor story now leans towards lakes, parks, Sui–Tang Grand Canal heritage, Xiangshan’s old city culture and Linhuan’s tea-house traditions. You’ll get the most out of it if you treat it as a practical second-city China stop: stay centrally in Xiangshan for ease, go to Nanhu for space and water, and set aside time for Suixi or Linhuan if food, tea and older streets are your priority.
