Wuwei hotels like a local.
Wuwei is a compact Silk Road city in Gansu where you can base yourself for Han tombs, Buddhist caves, night markets and the story of China’s Bronze Galloping Horse.

About Wuwei
Wuwei, historically Liangzhou, sits in central Gansu at the eastern end of the Hexi Corridor, with today’s urban core in Liangzhou District. You come here for Silk Road history without the visitor pressure of Dunhuang or Xi’an: the main draws include Leitai Han Tomb, Wuwei Confucian Temple, Wuwei Museum, Baita Temple / Liangzhou Alliance Memorial Hall and the Tiantishan Grottoes south of town. Liangzhou District is also recorded as the findspot of the “Ma Ta Fei Yan” / Bronze Galloping Horse.
