About Xining
Xining sits on the eastern edge of the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau and works well as a practical option for Ta’er Monastery, Qinghai Lake and the Qinghai–Tibet Railway. The main administrative area includes Chengzhong, Chengdong, Chengxi, Chengbei, Huangzhong, Huangyuan and Datong Hui and Tu Autonomous County. Summer is one of its big advantages, with travel sources citing average summer temperatures around 18.3°C, so you get a cooler city break than in much of China.
