1. Choose your base by architecture and convenience: Superdévoluy is the easiest all-under-one-roof snow-front option, while La Joue du Loup is prettier, chalet-like and often pricier.
2. If you are arriving without a car, build the trip around Veynes–Dévoluy station and ZOU 515 rather than assuming Gap will be the simplest railhead.
3. Reserve unusual activities early. O’dycéa recommends reservations, Via Souterrata needs specialist planning, and NOEMA visits are limited.
