About Tignes
Tignes sits in Savoie in the French Alps and is made up of Tignes les Brévières, Tignes 1800 / Les Boisses, Tignes le Lavachet, Tignes le Lac and Tignes Val Claret, ranging from about 1,550m to 2,150m. Its main draw is the linked Tignes–Val d’Isère ski area, with 300km of pistes and 153 runs, plus summer lake sports, mountain biking, hiking and indoor sports facilities. It’s better treated as an active mountain base than a classic city break, so you’ll get far more from it if you’re here for snow, lifts, trails, lake days or sports centres rather than museums and old-town wandering.
