About Prerow
Ostseebad Prerow sits on the Darß section of the Fischland-Darß-Zingst peninsula in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, directly beside the Vorpommersche Boddenlandschaft National Park. It is a small resort rather than a city, with about 1,500 residents, around 11.3 sq km of municipal area and postcode 18375. You come for North Beach and the pier, wilder walks through Darßwald towards Weststrand and Darßer Ort, and a low-key village culture of seafaring history, cafés, fish restaurants, small museums and summer events.
