Kos hotels like a local.
Kos is a compact Dodecanese island where you can cycle from medieval walls to Roman ruins, swim beside early-Christian basilicas and still reach a sunset taverna by dinner.
About Kos
Kos gives you a practical mix of beaches, archaeology, resort villages, nightlife and easy cycling in the southeastern Aegean near the Turkish coast. Kos Town is the capital and main port, with stay areas spread along the north, east, south and far-west coasts. You can keep things car-light if you base yourself in Kos Town, Lambi, Psalidi, Tigaki or another bus-served resort, but a rental car helps if you want Zia on your own schedule, the Kefalos beaches or longer evenings away from the main routes.
