About Ranchi
You come to Ranchi less for grand monuments and more for its plateau surroundings. Hundru, Jonha and Dassam Falls sit roughly 40–45 km from town, while Tagore Hill, Rock Garden, Kanke Dam and Ranchi Science Centre give you easy half-day options inside or near the city. It works best if you choose your base carefully and use taxis, app cabs or a hired car for the nature sights outside the centre.
