Tulum hotels like a local.
Tulum pairs cliff-top Maya ruins, cenotes, beach clubs and Sian Ka’an trips, but you’ll enjoy it more if you plan transport and budget carefully.

About Tulum
Tulum sits on Mexico’s Caribbean coast in Quintana Roo, about 130 km south of Cancún. It isn’t one compact resort: the town is inland, while the beach and hotel zone run along a narrow coastal road where prices, taxis and restaurant bills rise sharply. You’ll also see Tulum used for ruins, jungle, cenotes, lagoons, Sian Ka’an and quieter coastal areas, so the area you book matters as much as the hotel itself.
