About Boracay
Boracay sits in Malay, Aklan, and is officially part of the island barangays of Balabag, Manoc-Manoc, and Yapak. Most visitors plan around beaches and White Beach Stations rather than civic boundaries: Station 1 is calmer and more upscale, Station 2 is the most convenient, and Station 3 is slower and better value. Since the 2018 rehabilitation, the island has been more regulated, with cleaner beach areas, e-trikes as the main local transport, and rules restricting drinking, smoking, loud music, littering, pets, furniture, and other activities directly on the sand.
