About Oradea
You’ll find Oradea in north-western Romania, on both banks of the Crișul Repede River and close to the Hungarian border, which gives the city its Romanian-Hungarian-Central European feel. Its main draw is architecture: Visit Oradea counts 89 Art Nouveau buildings and monuments, and the city is described locally as an architectural reserve with many protected historic buildings. It also works well as a base for thermal-spa time at Băile Felix, about 8–10 km south of the city.
