Murcia hotels like a local.
Murcia gives you baroque centrepiece architecture, late tapas, orange-blossom plazas and city-break prices that still feel gentler than Spain’s bigger coastal markets.
About Murcia
Murcia is the capital of the Region of Murcia in south-eastern Spain, founded in 831 in the Segura Valley. You still see traces of its Arab past in wall remains and in the Santa Clara palace-monastery complex, while the Cathedral and Episcopal Palace anchor the historic centre. The city is compact, local in feel and shaped by the surrounding huerta, the fertile orchard plain that still influences what you eat here.
