Derfor skal du bo nær Dalmatia Tower
Dalmatia Tower is the tallest building in Croatia, rising 135 metres including its antenna. It’s a modern mixed‑use skyscraper rather than a traditional sight: offices and parking below, the AC Hotel by Marriott Split on the upper floors. The tower sits north of Split’s historic core, about 1.8 km from Diocletian’s Palace, and you notice it mostly because it stands out on the skyline. People look it up because it’s new, prominent, and different from the rest of Split — not because it offers public viewpoints or museum-style visits.
Om Dalmatia Tower
The building was developed by Westgate Group and designed by Croatian architect Otto Barić. During planning and construction it was known as Westgate Tower, before being renamed Dalmatia Tower. Construction finished in 2023, with the AC Hotel by Marriott Split opening in July that year and the formal inauguration taking place on 7 May 2024.
Its significance is practical and symbolic rather than historic. At over 100 metres, it became the first Croatian skyscraper to cross that height threshold and now anchors Split’s growing business zone north of the Old Town. The tower has 27 floors above ground, five underground parking levels, and eight elevators. For most visitors, what you actually experience is limited to seeing it from outside — unless you’re staying in the hotel, access beyond public areas isn’t available.

Dalmatia Tower stands on Domovinskog rata Street, one of Split’s main north–south routes. From Diocletian’s Palace, it’s a 20–25 minute walk north or a short local bus ride. Taxis and rideshares reach it easily. If you’re driving, the building includes multi‑level underground parking accessed directly from the street.
