Winja’s Fear & Force are two intertwined indoor spinning roller coasters inside Phantasialand, a large theme park in Brühl, about 18–19 km south of Cologne. People come for the unusual ride system: each four‑seat car spins while being lifted vertically and sent across tilting and drop‑track sections. The result is that no two rides feel quite the same. Opened in 2002 and housed entirely indoors within the Wuze Town hall, the coasters run regardless of weather and are included with standard park admission, making them a common highlight for visitors planning a day trip from Cologne.

Winja’s Fear & Force opened on March 30, 2002 as part of Phantasialand’s 35th‑anniversary expansion, alongside the enclosed themed area known as Wuze Town. The project replaced an older children’s zone and marked a shift toward more complex, story‑driven indoor attractions. Both coasters were built by Maurer AG (Maurer Söhne) with design input from Werner Stengel.
Although paired together, Fear and Force run on separate tracks. Fear emphasizes forward and backward tilting, while Force banks more strongly to the side. Each ride vehicle is lifted by a vertical elevator, then sent through a mix of controlled spinning, drops, and a surprise drop section near the end. Because everything is indoors, the experience is tightly themed: multi‑level queues, sound effects, and track elements wrap around each other inside the hall. Height limits and health restrictions apply, reflecting the spinning and drop mechanics.
