5 best hotels with a pool in Ames

Hotels with a pool in Ames are best suited to travellers who want a stay that feels practical, comfortable and a little more flexible. A genuine pool hotel is not just somewhere with a swimming pool listed in the facilities: it is a property where the pool is part of the stay, whether you are planning a family break, a sports trip, a business visit, or a stopover with time to unwind. In Ames, that usually means a straightforward, well-rated hotel with easy access, reliable amenities and enough space to settle in without fuss.

The best options in this list include familiar names such as TownePlace Suites by Marriott Ames, Iowa House, Home2 Suites by Hilton Ames and Holiday Inn Express and Suites Ames, all of which are rated strongly by recent guests. They suit visitors who want an indoor pool for a swim after a day out, a place to keep children entertained, or simply a hotel that adds value beyond the room itself. Properties such as Hampton Inn and Suites Ames, Sleep Inn & Suites, Gateway Hotel And Conference Center and Comfort Inn & Suites near ISU Campus broaden the choice across different budgets and trip types.

Ames itself is a practical Midwestern city with a collegiate feel, so pool hotels here tend to appeal to guests who value convenience over resort-style extras. The result is a useful mix of 2-star and 3-star stays, with most offering a balanced level of comfort for short breaks, campus visits and overnight stays.
