Bologna hotels like a local.
Bologna is Italy’s red-brick, portico-covered food capital, with medieval towers above you, fresh pasta in front of you and a university mood around every corner.

About Bologna
Bologna is the capital of Emilia-Romagna, known as “La Dotta” for its ancient university and “La Grassa” for its food culture. You get a large, well-preserved medieval centre with restaurants, taverns, theatres, shops and more than 62 km of porticoes, which were added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2021. It suits a short city break, but it rewards a slower pace: market grazing in the Quadrilatero, university history, aperitivo streets and the long porticoed walk up to San Luca all sit within an easy walk-or-bus radius.
