Notting Hillwhere to stay.

Notting Hill is all about postcard-colourful streets and the pull of a world-famous market: Portobello Road, with its antique/vintage stalls and food-lined stretch. (aladyinlondon.com, visitportobello.com) It’s a great base for travellers who want “London-in-miniature”: pretty terraces, independent shops, and cafés that feel local even when the streets are busy.

Where to stay (best fit): - For classic Notting Hill charm & top scores: *Romantic Bungalow In Notting Hill (4★, 9.9)* and *Rhondda House (3★, 9.8)* suit couples and anyone chasing a scenic, neighbourhood feel. - For cosy, budget-to-mid range: *Fox and Goose Hotel (3★, 9.2)* and *Carolyn’s Place (3★, 9.4)* work well if you want a comfortable base without going boutique-only. - If you’re transit-focused: *North Avenue Guest House, Heathrow Airport-Free Parking (2★, 9.1)* prioritises practicality over being in the heart of the action.

Walkability & getting around: Most of your “must-sees” cluster around Portobello Road—so wandering is easy, especially for market days.

Dining & nightlife: For bites, head straight to the Portobello Road food stalls (Portobello Road & Goldborne Road). At night, browse neighbourhood bars via Westbourne Grove/Portobello-area picks, where cocktail and pub options are a big part of the social scene. (timeout.com, timeout.com)

Attractions to walk to: Start with Portobello Road Market, then wander onward for the broader Kensington/park area routes that many visitors use to cap off the day. (aladyinlondon.com, yalla-london.com)
