Perché Hotel con golf, e perché qui
Golf hotels in Rethymno are best understood as places that make a golf-focused stay easy, comfortable and well organised, rather than hotels that necessarily sit on a course itself. In practice, that means a good base for reaching golf facilities in Crete, straightforward access for day trips, and a stay that suits travellers who want to combine time on the fairways with a relaxing coastal break. The most suitable options are often those with strong guest ratings, practical facilities and a calm setting, so you can return from a round without any fuss.
Rethymno itself works well for this type of trip because it offers a laid-back holiday atmosphere, a choice of beachside and villa-style stays, and enough variety for couples, friends and independent golfers. Some visitors will want a simple, good-value hotel; others may prefer more space and privacy in a villa. Properties such as Belvedere Villas, Blue Oyster Beach Villas, Palazzo Greco Villas, Sea Breeze Villa and Hotel Kathrin Beach fit that wider brief particularly well, while Evelin Hotel, Axos Hotel and Galini Mare Hotel offer more conventional hotel stays.
A genuine golf hotel in this destination is therefore one that balances access, comfort and flexibility. It suits golfers who plan to spend part of the day playing and part of it enjoying the coast, as well as non-golfing companions who want a pleasant base in a popular Cretan town.
