Waarom Strandhotels, en waarom hier
Beach hotels in Koh Phi Phi are best understood as places that put you close to the island’s shoreline, so the sea is easy to reach and the setting feels distinctly coastal rather than simply central. On an island known for its laid-back, tropical atmosphere, that usually means staying somewhere practical for beach time, with the comfort to suit a relaxed break rather than a full resort escape. The best options balance location, convenience and a straightforward stay, whether you want to spend most of the day by the water or use the hotel as a base for exploring the island.
This list includes a mix of 2-star and 3-star properties, which makes it useful for different budgets and travel styles. Phi Phi Erawan Palms Resort and P.P. Palmtree Resort are among the higher-rated choices here, while ChaoKoh Phi Phi Hotel & Resort and Blu Monkey Phi Phi Island offer another step up from the simplest stays. For travellers who want something more basic, Phi Phi Inn, Lux Guesthouse, Harmony House and October Hostel provide simpler accommodation, with the emphasis on value and location rather than extra facilities.
These hotels suit beach-focused holidays, short island stays and travellers who want to be near the sea without overpaying for unnecessary extras. They are also a good fit for couples, friends and independent visitors who care more about easy access to the coast and a comfortable base than about a large resort experience.

Wat je moet weten over Strandhotels in Koh Phi Phi
What makes a hotel count as a beach hotel in Koh Phi Phi?
It should be close to the shore and convenient for spending time by the sea. In practice, that means a coastal setting and easy access to the beach rather than just a hotel somewhere on the island.
Which area is best to stay in for beach hotels?
The best area is usually the part of Koh Phi Phi that gives you the easiest access to the beach and the island’s main visitor areas. A good beach hotel should feel well placed for both the shore and everyday convenience.
What level of price and comfort should I expect?
Expect mostly 2-star and 3-star options, so these are generally simple to mid-range stays rather than luxury resorts. The focus is on practical comfort, location and good value.
