7 najlepszych — Hotele historyczne i zabytkowe — Saintes

Historic & heritage hotels in Saintes are best understood as stays that reflect the town’s older character rather than simply offering an old building. In practice, that means hotels with a sense of place: period features, a central setting, a more traditional scale, and an atmosphere that suits a town known for its history and calm pace. They are a good fit for travellers who value character over chain-style uniformity, and for visitors who want to stay somewhere that feels connected to Saintes rather than detached from it.

This list includes a mix of modest, well-rated smaller properties and more familiar hotel names, so there is a range of styles and comfort levels. Les Persiennes and La Belle Etoile stand out for their strong guest scores, while Les Chambres De L'abbaye suggests a more historic setting by name alone. For those who want heritage character with practical hotel facilities, INTER-HOTEL Au Bosquet de Germanicus, Hôtel de France, P'tit Dej-Hotel Saintes and ibis Saintes Hotel provide broader choice, with the latter offering a more standardised three-star option. Comptoir des Latitudes - Hôtel du Centre adds another central, city-style choice.

Overall, these hotels suit short breaks, cultural stays and travellers passing through who still want a sense of local identity. In Saintes, the appeal lies in choosing accommodation that feels rooted in the town’s historic atmosphere while remaining straightforward and comfortable.
