Die 7 besten Berghotels in Gosau

Mountain hotels in Gosau are best understood as places that make the mountains the main part of the stay, whether through a setting close to alpine scenery, views towards the peaks, or a quieter base that suits walking, skiing, and straightforward outdoor days. In Gosau, that usually means accommodation with a strong sense of place rather than a formal resort feel. The area is a good fit for travellers who want fresh air, easy access to nature, and a relaxed pace, including couples, walkers, winter sports visitors, and anyone who prefers a smaller-scale stay over a busy town hotel.

The choice here ranges from simple guesthouses and private rooms to more polished four-star options. That means “mountain hotel” does not have to mean luxurious; it can just as easily mean practical, welcoming, and well placed for the landscape. Properties such as Landhaus Koller and Thermenhotel Royal suit guests looking for a higher level of comfort, while Gasthof Gosauschmied, Mühlradl Apartments, and the smaller pensions and private rooms offer a more personal, low-key experience. Across the list, the strongest common thread is guest satisfaction, with very high review scores suggesting reliable stays.

For visitors to Gosau, the appeal is clear: a mountain base with calm surroundings, good access to outdoor activities, and accommodation that feels connected to the setting rather than cut off from it.
