What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences and understand how you use it. PriceRoom uses cookies to provide a secure, personalised booking experience.
Cookie categories

On HTTPS, sign-in uses the secure session-cookie name. We also save your currency choice in local storage. Your cookie choices are stored as priceroom_cookie_consent in local storage until you change or clear them. Local storage has no automatic expiry.
Analytics
OptionalHelp us understand how visitors navigate the site so we can improve the experience.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes visitors (set only after you accept analytics cookies) | Up to 2 years (Google default) |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics — keeps a visit's pages together as one session | Up to 2 years (Google default) |
Marketing
OptionalControls advertising-related signals shared with Google when analytics is also enabled.
If you accept both analytics and marketing, we allow Google Analytics advertising-related storage and personalisation signals. The storage used depends on the features enabled in our Google configuration.
Browser storage and campaign records
auth-storage in local storage remembers your sign-in details on this device. It is cleared or replaced when you sign out or your session is reset; browser storage itself has no automatic expiry. Recent searches and viewed hotels are kept in the 1-year cookies listed above; local storage also keeps recent destination searches and recently viewed hotels. We also use browser storage for your selected stay and unfinished checkout details, and restoring a search when you return from a hotel page. These records support the features you use. Local records remain until replaced or cleared; tab-session records normally last for the tab's session.
We cache map results, displayed prices and currency-conversion information to avoid loading them again unnecessarily. Cached information is refreshed or rejected when it is no longer valid. Some browser records remain until replaced or cleared.
With analytics consent, we use a random visitor ID to understand visits, searches and booking steps. It is saved in local storage with no automatic expiry. Active browsing-session information expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you have given analytics consent, the same ID may also be used to connect a support conversation you start; without it, support chat works without creating or sending the ID.
After analytics consent, the pr_attr cookie remembers which campaign or referring website brought you here, so a later booking can be attributed to that visit. It lasts for up to 30 days.
With analytics consent, we also keep a campaign and referrer record in this tab's session storage (priceroom_attribution_v2), including any advertising click identifier in the link, and may attach it to a booking. Collection starts only after consent. The browser record normally lasts for this tab's session; information already attached to a booking is retained with that booking.
Managing your preferences
Select Cookie preferences in the footer or at the top of this page to review or change your choices. Closing the panel without saving leaves your choices unchanged. Optional cookie categories are off unless you choose to allow them.
Withdrawing analytics consent stops further Google Analytics collection and removes the pr_attr cookie, the tab-level attribution record and its in-memory copy. New bookings then receive no campaign attribution. Existing Google cookies and the local visitor ID may remain until they expire or you clear site data. Changing your choices does not delete past booking or support records. You can clear site data in your browser settings; clearing required sign-in or checkout storage can stop those features working.
