Die 8 besten Berghotels in Ios

Mountain hotels in Ios are best understood as stays set away from the busiest coastal strips, where the island’s higher ground brings a quieter atmosphere, wider views and a stronger sense of retreat. On an island known for its lively summer energy, these hotels suit travellers who want a calmer base without giving up easy access to the rest of Ios. They are a good fit for couples, friends and independent visitors who value peace, scenery and a more relaxed pace.

In practice, a genuine mountain hotel in Ios is less about a formal category and more about location and feel. Look for properties that sit inland or on elevated terrain, with the sort of setting that makes the most of the island’s landscape. The best options combine that position with comfortable rooms, good service and a straightforward route to the beaches, harbour and main resort areas when you want them.

Several of the bookable hotels here fit that brief well. Brothers Hotel stands out for its very high guest score, while Levantes Ios Boutique Hotel, Relux Ios Hotel and Agalia Luxury Suites offer a more polished four-star stay. Holidays in Ios and Galaxy provide simpler, well-rated alternatives, and Fanari Art and Mare Blue Ios add further choice across different budgets and styles. For travellers seeking a quieter Ios stay with a sense of elevation and space, this shortlist offers a useful starting point.
