What many travellers still call Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas is now Cowabunga Canyon Waterpark. It’s the only operating successor to the old Wet’n’Wild name and sits well off the Strip in southwest Las Vegas. People come here on hot desert days when hotel pools feel cramped and you want a full, structured water‑park day instead. The defining difference is scale: around 33 acres with more than 25 slides and attractions, designed for spending hours, not squeezing in a quick dip. It’s aimed squarely at families, groups, and anyone who wants variety beyond a single resort pool.
Che cos'è Wet'n'Wild Las Vegas
Las Vegas has had two different parks called Wet’n’Wild, which is where the confusion starts. The original Wet ’n Wild operated on the Las Vegas Strip from 1985 until 2004, then closed permanently as Strip land values climbed. That park no longer exists.
A new, unrelated Wet’n’Wild Las Vegas opened in 2013 on South Fort Apache Road, far from the Strip. In 2022, it rebranded under new ownership as Cowabunga Canyon Waterpark, keeping the same location and core attractions.
Today’s park is a large, open‑air complex built for extreme summer heat. You’ll find near‑vertical body and capsule slides, multi‑person raft rides, a wave pool, floating areas, and separate kids’ splash zones. Shaded seating and private cabanas are part of the experience, making it practical for long summer days when temperatures regularly push past 100°F.
